What did you have to stop doing in order to start doing these new things?

As David Lee King wrote in a recent post - this is the wrong question. Focus on meeting your libraries priorities - and think creatively about this.

  • This is so true, we need to stop being so 'precious' about our current job profiles and start looking at how we can best meet our libraries priorities and communitity's demands. We all have tight budgets and struggling library services but it's up to us to creatively address the ways to turn that around not look at how difficult it all is - the glass is not half empty, it's half full. It isn't just about changing our behaviour it's about changing our thinking too; changing the way we view ourselves and the image we portray to the wider community (and government).
