About NSW RISG
The NSW Reference and Information Services Group was established in April 2003. Since its establishment the group has actively promoted reference services throughout NSW facilitating a culture of exchange between reference staff and providing online tools for enhanced communication.
Quarterly RISG meetings
Reference staff from across NSW meet quarterly to discuss professional issues, new initiatives and opportunities for collaboration. The meetings are held at various metropolitan and rural library services throughout the state. Please refer to the events section.
Reference at the Metcalfe
The Reference at the Metcalfe seminar is held each May and has become a highlight of the year for reference staff. Each year the event showcases the
latest reference initiatives from across NSW and interstate.
